Conditions of Entry – New Years Minutes Online Competition, 2012/13

  1. By entering this competition, entrants are deemed to have read, understood and accepted all of the Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them.
  2. The promoter of this competition is Paradigm Services Limited whose registered address is 21 Holburn Viaduct, London, EC1A 2DY.
  3. Entry is free and open to UK residents aged 18 years and over only. Entrants must complete in full, the entry requirements during the promotional period as detailed in clause 4. Employees and immediate family members of the Promoter or any EADS entity are ineligible to enter. The competition is only open to UK Service personnel and their families with a valid WelComE account.
  4. The promotion commences from 00:01 (GMT) on the 17th December 2012 and closes at 00:01 (UK Time GMT) on the 2nd January 2013. To enter the promotion, eligible entrants must provide their first name, last name, company (if applicable), email address in full that must be capable of accepting incoming e-mail for notification purposes, as well as a valid WelComE account number. Entrants can apply on the microsite page ( during the promotional period. An email address must be given in order for the prize winner to be contacted. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry without a valid email address, or entries that do not comply with, or breach the terms of this agreement. Further, if any unlawful or improper misconduct is suspected that may jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter may disqualify such entrants, and at all times the Promoter reserves its legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from disqualified entrants.
  5. Entrants can only enter the competition once for the duration of the competition and the entry must be in the entrants own name. The Promoter reserves the right at its own discretion to request proof of identification for verification (to the Promoter’s satisfaction) before issuing prizes. Incomplete or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid. Entries containing and/or depicting illegal, sexually explicit or morally or racially offensive content will be ineligible and disqualified. No responsibility will be taken for lost, late or misdirected entries.
  6. The winners will be chosen by the Promoter at random on the 3rd January 2012 and will be independently adjudicated. The winners will be notified by e-mail to the e-mail address provided at the point of entry following the random draw (within 48 hours). If the Promoter fails to contact the winner within these times then Clause 7 will apply. In order to claim the prize the winner must contact the Promoter by return e-mail stating their acceptance and understanding of these terms and conditions within 7 working days of the notification.
  7. The Promoter will award the prize to another chosen entry if the prize remains unclaimed within seven (7) calendar days in accordance with Clause 6
  8. All relevant information will be sent to the winner by e-mail (or UK 1st class post where appropriate) to enable compliance with these terms and conditions.
  9. The decision of the randomly chosen entries is final and no further correspondence shall be entered into regarding this.
  10. A total of 7 competition prizes are available, as follows:
    10.1 Prize 1: £800 of Centre Parcs gift vouchers
    10.2 Prize 2 & 3: One Pair of Merlin annual passes per prize
    10.3 Prize 4, 5, 6 & 7: One gift voucher to the value of £50.00 GBP per prize
  11. Extra accommodation, spending money, meals, beverages, travel insurance, passports, visas, optional activities, gratuities, transport and all other ancillary costs not provided in accordance with Clause 11 of the promotion. The obtainment of any of these remain at all times the responsibility of the winner, and the Promoter shall have no responsibility whatsoever unless stated otherwise.
  12. The Promoter shall not be responsible for any delay or cancellation by the prize providers of the prizes.
  13. The winner is advised to seek professional insurance advice (providing full details of the location and nature of the prize) from an insurance expert prior to commencing travel and is solely responsible for ensuring that appropriate cover is taken out.
  14. The prizes are not transferable or refundable. If the winner is unable to travel in accordance with the terms hereunder, the winner shall be deemed to have forfeited the prize.
  15. No cash or credit alternatives will be offered.
  16. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude the Promoter's liability for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of its negligence and for any liability that cannot be excluded by applicable law.
  17. The Promoter accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any damages, liabilities, losses suffered or sustained as a result of entering this competition and/or accepting the prize.
  18. The Promoter shall not be responsible for any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information communicated in the course of or in connection with this competition if the deficiency is occasioned by any cause outside the reasonable control of the Promoter including without limitation technical malfunctions or failures.
  19. Tax implications may arise from the receipt or use of a prize. Independent financial advice should be sought by the winner.
  20. Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions or its subject matter (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales and both the Promoter and all entrants irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with these terms and conditions.
  21. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned because of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion subject to any written directions under applicable legislation.
